BMBF - Forschungshub 6G-life

Die Technische Universität München und die Technische Universität Dresden haben sich zum 6G-life research hub zusammengeschlossen, um die Spitzenforschung für zukünftige 6G-Kommunikationsnetze mit Fokus auf die Mensch-Maschine-Kollaboration voranzutreiben. Der Zusammenschluss der beiden Exzellenzuniversitäten bündelt ihre weltweit führenden Vorarbeiten in den Bereichen Taktiles Internet im Exzellenzcluster CeTI, 5G-Kommunikationsnetze, Quantenkommunikation, Post-Shannon-Theorie, Methoden der künstlichen Intelligenz sowie adaptive und flexible Hard- und Softwareplattformen.

Vision

6G-life wird die Industrie und die Startup-Landschaft in Deutschland durch positive Vorzeigeprojekte deutlich beleben und damit die digitale Souveränität in Deutschland nachhaltig stärken. Testfelder für zwei Anwendungsfälle treiben die Forschung und die wirtschaftliche Belebung voran. Ziel ist es, in den ersten vier Jahren mindestens 10 neue Startups durch 6G-life zu gründen und mindestens 30 Startups zu beteiligen. 6G-life wird einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Schaffung von qualifizierten Arbeitskräften leisten. Darüber hinaus hat es sich 6G-life zur Aufgabe gemacht, die Bevölkerung bei der digitalen Transformation zu begleiten und damit einen Beitrag für die Gesellschaft zu leisten.
