EURASIP Best Paper Award for Gerhard Kramer

Prof. Gerhard Kramer was awarded the 2014 EURASIP Best Paper Award for the EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking. The publication, entitled “Compound Wiretap Channels”, is a joint work of Yingbin Liang, Gerhard Kramer, H. Vincent Poor, and Shlomo Shamai and was published in EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, Volume 2009, Article ID 142374.

Teaching Award for Joschi Brauchle

Die Fachschaft Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik vergibt jedes Jahr einen Preis an Dozenten der Fakultät für Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik, die auf dem Gebiet der Lehre mehr leisten, als für einen guten Lehrbetrieb nötig wäre.  Joschi Brauchle wurde am Tag der Fakultät am 25.10.2013 für die Betreuung der Übung des Fachs "Channel Coding" ausgezeichnet.

E-Plus Dissertationspreis für Georg Böcherer

Jährlich wird vom Mobilfunkanbieter E-Plus ein Preis für die beste Dissertation im Bereich Nachrichtentechnik an der RWTH Aachen verliehen. Dieses Jahr erhielt Georg Böcherer den Preis für seine Dissertation "Capacity-Achieving Probabilistic Shaping for Noisy and Noiseless Channels".
