On February 1, 2015 the Chair of Communication Networks (LKN) celebrated its 25th birthday
The Chair for Communication Networks (Lehrstuhl für Kommunikationsnetze) has been founded by Prof. Eberspächer on February 1st 1990 and had its 25th anniversary on February 1, 2015. This event has been celebrated on Monday, February 2nd by the current LKN staff together with Prof. Eberspächer. In his speech, Prof. Eberspächer remembered the first days of the chair when he built up the institute together with Dr. Martin Maier, who there from the very beginning as well. Since then the LKN has grown steadily and is well known in the national and international research community. Prof. Eberspächer pointed out that it is always about the individual persons who all have contributed and are contributing to the success. Prof. Kellerer who has taken over the lead in July 2012 is continuing the tradition of LKN and Prof. Eberspächer wishes all the best for the LKN future and the upcoming 25 years and beyond.
