Nael Fasfous has been awarded the VDE Award 2019, in recognition of his Master Thesis on the topic of "Compact Directories with Hybrid Architecture Aware Eviction Policies for Distributed Shared Memory MPSoCs". In his thesis, Nael proposed innovative cache eviction strategies for Multiprocessor System-on-Chip architectures. Akshay Srivatsa was the advisor of this thesis.

The VDE Award has been given to Nael Fasfous from the Association of German Engineers (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure, VDE Südbayern) on November 21, 2019.
