Prof. Herkersdorf gave a talk on "Near-memory Accelerators for Efficient Inter-Tile Communication in DSM Architectures" at the 19th International Forum on MPSoC held in Hakone, Japan from July 8-12, 2019. The talk underlined the importance of data and task locality for DSM (distirbuted shared memory)-based architectures and introduced how near-memory accelerators can be used to achieve this goal. MPSoC Forum is an annual event that acts as a unique networking platform for top researchers and industrial experts in the area of multi-processor system-on-chip.
