New article about the development of robot skin at ICS

We invite you to read an article on how we develop our robot skin at ICS https://reportage.julia-post.de/ Our innovative skin allows robots to sense their own body and surroundings, which is crucial for safe interaction with humans. Our team has created an artificial skin made up of hexagonal cells, each equipped with sensors that measure touch, acceleration, proximity, and temperature. With over 1,260 cells and more than 13,000 sensors, the robot H-1 is covered in this new "body sense." The skin is also robust and flexible, remaining functional even if some cells fail. This breakthrough in robotic technology could lead to safer and more intuitive interactions between robots and humans. #robotics #robotSkin (article in German: https://reportage.julia-post.de/ )
