The next Doctoral Research Seminar of this semester will feature "Towards General Purpose Robotics - or: how Generic Impedance Controls can contribute to that goal ?!" presented by Dr. Johannes Englsberger from DLR
February 5th, 2024, 11:00 – 12:00 in room 2026, Karlstr. 45.
In his presentation, he will be discussing how Generic Impedance Controllers can contribute towards General Purpose Robotics.
After 14 years of doing pure research, mostly in legged/humanoid Iocomotion and whole-body controls, he will found a software company (spin-off from DLR) this October (2024). His core product will be a Generic Impedance Controls software. In the talk, he will showcase some of its features, give a glimpse into what his software product and accompanying services will look like, and finally talk about the basic math behind the method.
