Summer Academy (Ferienakademie) in Sarntal, South Tyrol
Since 1984, the summer academy (Ferienakademie) offers courses for Bachelor and Master students from TU München, the University of Erlangen and the University of Stuttgart. The courses take place in Sarntal, South Tyrol, Italy. The academy is funded by companies and supported by the participating universities.
Each course has around 15 students and 2 professors. The program consists of presentations by the participants and joint projects. Leisure time is also important, in particular the hiking tours in the surrounding mountain area are a main attraction of the summer academy. The 2023 academy takes place from Sunday September 17 to Friday September 29. Further information can be found on the official website.
Prof. Gerhard Kramer and Prof. Ralf Müller will offer a course on Neural Network Compression. Students of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Informatics and Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics (Bachelor from 3rd year of study, or Master) can apply here until May 1, 2023.
Application - Neural Network Compression
Interested students of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Informatics and Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics (3rd year Bachelor students, or Master students) can apply here until May 1, 2023. The following prerequisites are recommended:
- Basics of digital communications, signal processing and linear algebra.
We look forward to working with interested and talented students, and to spending time together in the Sarntal.
