Research
The Institute for Communications Engineering comprises the Chair of Communications Engineering (LNT, Prof. Kramer), the Associate Professorship of Line Transmission Technology (LÜT, Prof. Hanik), and the Associate Professorship of Coding and Cryptography (COD, Prof. Wachter-Zeh). Our research includes the following topics.
COD
Antonia Wachter-Zeh's group studies coding for communications and data storage. This includes distributed data storage, code-based cryptography, and coded computing.
A list of publications can be found here.
LNT
Gerhard Kramer's group studies information theory, coding, and signal processing for wireless and fiber-optic channels.
A list of publications can be found here.
LÜT
Norbert Hanik's group (LÜT) studies the physical layer of wireline communication systems, in particular optical and power line systems.
A list of publications can be found here.
