Nicole Rossmann was awarded TUM's Karl Max von Bauernfeind Medal for her outstanding contributions as "Administrative Assistant" of the "Master of Science in Communications Engineering" (MSCE ) program, which is TUM's first international graduate program. [read more]

The Award of Excellence of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy was established by minister Dr. Johannes Hahn in 2008. It is awarded to the best dissertations of a given year, nominated by the presidents of the Austrian universities. Mari Kobayashi will receive a Humboldt Fellowship for Experienced Researchers from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. This prestigious fellowship is granted to approximately 500 applicants annually across all fields of research and at all German universities. (The number 500 includes applicants for the Humboldt Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers.) The fellowship will provide funding for Mari's sabbatical stay at TUM and LNT. [read more]

Fabian Steiner erhält für seine herausragende Master Arbeit am Lehrstuhl für Nachrichtentechnik mit dem Titel "LDPC Code Design for Bit-Metric Decoding" den Prof. Dr. Ralf Kötter Gedächtnispreis. Der mit 500 Euro dotierte Preis ist nach dem 2009 verstorbenen TUM-Ordinarius für Nachrichtentechnik Ralf Kötter benannt. Die Master Arbeit war ein wichtiger Teil eines Vorschlags welche in 2015 einen Bell Labs-Preis erhielt. [read more]
