From November 2020 to February 2021, the TUM Institute for Communications Engineering (ICE) is organizing a virtual speaker series with weekly talks from international researchers on a variety of topics in information theory, coding theory, cryptography, and other related fields. The talks take place on Wednesday at 4pm CET.

Teaching Award for Thomas Wiegart

Every year, the student council of the TUM Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering awards prizes to lecturers who went above and beyond their duty as teachers and excelled at their work. This year, Thomas Wiegart will receive the Teaching Assistant Award at the "Tag der Fakultät" on November 13th for giving the tutorials of our Digital Communications course in the 4th semester. Book publication in January 2021: Quantum Communication Networks

The new book Quantum Communication Networks (part of the Springer series: Foundations in Signal Processing, Communications and Networking), is currently in press. The book by authors R. Bassoli, H. Boche, C. Deppe, R. Ferrara, F.H.P. Fitzek, G. Janssen, and S. Saeedinaeeni will be available in early 2021. This book provides a tutorial on quantum communication networks.
