Prof. Dr. Ralf Kötter Gedächtnispreis für Fabian Steiner

Fabian Steiner erhält für seine herausragende Master Arbeit am Lehrstuhl für Nachrichtentechnik mit dem Titel "LDPC Code Design for Bit-Metric Decoding" den Prof. Dr. Ralf Kötter Gedächtnispreis. Der mit 500 Euro dotierte Preis ist nach dem 2009 verstorbenen TUM-Ordinarius für Nachrichtentechnik Ralf Kötter benannt. Die Master Arbeit war ein wichtiger Teil eines Vorschlags welche in 2015 einen Bell Labs-Preis erhielt.

Gerhard Kramer named a Highly Cited Researcher for 2015

Gerhard Kramer has been listed by Thomson Reuters as a Highly Cited Researcher for 2015, as one of the 108 most influential researchers in Computer Science. Influence is determined by analyzing citation data to identify those who published the highest-impact work during 2003-2013. Highly cited papers rank in the top 1% by citations for their subject field and year of publication. Ralf Kötter, who headed the LNT from 2007-09, is also included in the list.
