The Nokia Bell Labs Student Award 2018 goes to Tamay Aykut

At the Nokia Innovation Days 2018 in Stuttgart, Tamay Aykut, PhD student at the Department of Media Technology of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, was awarded the Nokia Bell Labs Student Award 2018.

He received the award for his research work on "Towards Virtual Human Teleportation: Realtime 3D 360 ° Telepresence". The award was presented by Peter Merz, Head of Standardization Research, and Ulrich Barth, Head of Smart Wireless Networks at Nokia Bell Labs.
