Biography
Valentin Haider studied electrical engineering and information technology with a focus on technical electronics at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology and graduated with a bachelor's degree in February 2020. During his bachelor's studies, he received the SpeedUp scholarship from the BMW Group. After his bachelor's degree, Valentin proceeded his studies in electrical engineering and information technology with a focus on communications engineering at the Technical University of Munich. He earned his master's degree with high distinction in December 2022 and was also awarded the SEW-EURODRIVE Foundation's 2023 Study Prize for his Master's thesis. During his master's studies, he also received a BMW Group scholarship, the Fastlane Light scholarship. This is a scholarship related to the Fastlane scholarship which is awarded specifically to SpeedUp Alumni. Valentin spent a semester abroad both during his Bachelor's degree (Muskingum University, Ohio, USA) and during his Master's degree (Lund University, Sweden). He has been a research and teaching associate at the Chair of Communication Networks since November 2022. More information about Valentin's career is available on his LinkedIn profile.
Research
Valentin's research interests are in the advancement of resource allocation in 5G and 6G communication networks, with his research primarily focused in the area of access networks. The contemplated resources can be resources for transmission, for processing, or for storage of data.
Teaching
Valentin is the teaching associate for the central exercise module of the lecture Data Networking since the winter semester 2022/2023.
