Title: 5G mobile network technology meets the satcom
5G mobile network technology is getting to the market promising a revolution in the way digital services are consumed. At the same time, 5G standardization activity is ongoing to develop the full fledge capability of the new mobile technology. As 5G will pervade different sectors, there is an ongoing effort to integrate the satcom with 5G. This talk revolves around the 5G features and provides information of the activities at the EU level toward blending satellite technology in the 5G mainstream.
