Our alumnus Akshay Srivatsa won the "Award for the Best Doctoral Thesis of the Department Computer Engineering in 2023". Akhsay had worked at our chair till January 2022 in a research project on optimizing the memory subsystem of multi-core processors as part of the DFG SFB/TR "Invasive Computing". Among a multitude of conference and journal papers Akshay twice won best paper awards for his research contributions and for his HyVE Cache Eviction Policy a patent was granted. His dissertation that summarized his findings is titled "Coherence-on-Demand and Hybrid Eviction Policies for Multiprocessor System-on-Chip Architectures".
