Abstract:
In this talk, we introduce generalization of Uzawa's primal-dual algorithm from control theoretical perspective. It is known that Uzawa's method gives a distributed optimization algorithm for resource/product distribution problems or pricing. We show that the mechanism of the algorithm can be explained through a notion of control
systems: passivity and then introduce its generalization. We also illustrate its applications to electric power distribution problems.
