The next Doctoral Research Seminar is titled "Kinesthetic Teaching for Non-Roboticists - Robots Interactions" by Camille Vindolet - ICS
Robots should become more fluent in their interactions with humans, especially non–experts in Robotics. Robotics is part of the technology that has a vocation of becoming widely used. However, for this reason, it is important to develop robots that can adapt to unconstrained environments, be personalized to different users, and interact naturally with humans of a large diversity. This requires work in many fields including the study of adapted methods of control and interactions. I propose to study Kinesthetic Teaching (KT) in this context and from the following angles: the design of a KT approach adapted for non-experts, its impact on the user experience focusing on trust, perceived intelligence and agency, and its use cases involving users from the diversity, specifically children, the elderly and stroke patients.
