After a special session with talks on the pioneering efforts of Prof. em. Kurt Antreich and his group in analytical circuit placement, which still influence placement methods today, the ISPD 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award has been presented to Kurt Antreich.

ISPD (http://www.ispd.cc/) is the premier international workshop on all aspects of layout design of integrated circuits.
