Helmut Graeb has been appointed as IEEE CEDA Vice President Publications for 2014 and 2015. The Council on Electronic Design Automation (CEDA) was established to foster design automation of electronic circuits and systems at all levels.

As an organizational unit (OU) of IEEE, CEDA has six member societies, namely: Antennas and Propagation, Circuits and Systems, Computer, Electron Devices, Microwave Theory and Techniques, and Solid-State Circuits Societies.

CEDA, for instance, is editing the internationally most renowned journals and conferences in the area of design automation and methodology for integrated circuits, such as, Transactions on Computer-Aided Design (TCAD), Design Automation Conference (DAC), Int. Conf. on Computer-Aided Design (ICCAD) and Design, Automation, and Test in Europe (DATE).
