Renju Thomas, a 3rd semester student in the MSCE program of TUM, won the "best-out-of-the-box solution" price at the 6th Annual International Microelectronics Olympiad of Armenia, which was held in Erivan in Oct. 2011. The Olympiad's key purpose is to increase the interest towards microelectronics. Participants came from 11 countries (USA, Germany, Russia, China, Ukraine, Belarus, India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Jordan). The general organizer of the event is Synopsys Armenia CJSC.
