Curriculum Vitae

Olivia Garland joined the Cyber-Physical Systems group in October 2024 as an external Ph.D. candidate with Siemens AG, under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Althoff. Previous to this, she received her B.Sc. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 2021, followed by an M.Sc. in Bioinformatics in 2023, also at the University of British Columbia.

Her research focuses on hybrid reinforcement learning, uncertainty-aware reinforcement learning, and their applications in industrial automation.
