Research Network HöReN

Hearing research in the Munich area has a long and successful tradition, going back to the first fundamental research of Georg Simon Ohm on the functionality of the hearing system. The Research Network HöReN is the network of all Munich-based work groups in the wide area of hearing research, providing an interdisciplinary environment which builds a bridge between traditional engineering sciences, sciences in general, psychology, and medicine. The network supports as a center interdisciplinary coordination and focussing of research and teaching in the field of hearing, as well as aids preparation and provides logistic support of collective grant applications and larger joint research projects. The network is not limited to fundamental research and supports also research projects of applied nature in cooperation with partners from the industrial sector.
