The annual AIP excursion takes us this time from 6th July to 7th July to Stuttgart!
On the first day we are pleased to visit the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics where we will be introduced to research on musical acoustics and photoacoustics and be shown their acoustical measurement facilities and the HiPIE-Lab (High Performance Indoor Environment). Amongst other things, interesting and rare research into organ pipes is being conducted there.
After staying overnight in the city center of Stuttgart, we will visit the car acoustics research department of Daimler-Benz in Sindelfingen where inside and outside noise of cars is being attenuated and optimized for sound quality, and we will see their research facilities.
