CAPS Co-Organizes ACM Computing Frontiers in Alghero, Italy, April 29-May 2, 2019

The ACM International Conference on Computing Frontiers is being held April 30 - May 2 in Alghero, Sardinia, Italy. Prof. Martin Schulz co-chaired the program committee, which selected 19 papers for presentation. Further, Dr. Carsten Trinitis has led the CF steering committee since 2012 and also had a strong hand towards the success of the conference, this year as well as in many previous editions.

Computing Frontiers is an eclectic, collaborative community of researchers who investigate emerging technologies in the broad field of computing: its goal is to drive the scientific breakthroughs that transform society.

Technology is experiencing revolutions in memory devices and systems, networks, electronic device production, machine learning, data analytics, cloud computing, techniques to improve power and energy efficiency, and systems portability/wearability, to name but a few areas.

New application domains that affect everyday life are emerging, especially in the era of highly interconnected and collaborative cyber-physical systems. Boundaries between the state-of-the-art and revolutionary innovation constitute the frontiers that mark the advances of science, engineering, and information technology.
