4 Day Compact Course: Introduction to parallel-in-time and other new time-stepping methods

The chairs for "Scientific Computing in Computer Science" and "Computer Architectures and Parallel Systems" offer a compact course on time integration methods (August 26-29, 2019)

Due to the increasing challenges of exploiting the computational performance of massively parallel computer architecture, alternative time integration methods which e.g. allow to exploit additional degrees of freedom along the time dimension gain increasing interest. This compact course will provide an overview of such recent advances and also provides insight into the challenges arising to exploit these time integration methods.
